Corti teatrali

Final show of the didactic project “I Corti Teatrali”, designated for schools.
Conceived in 2009, in the framework of the celebration of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation and within the “Villa Borghese. The Park of Culture” exhibition, it aims to exploit one of the most important historic parks in Europe through an integrated teaching between the Museum, the territory and the theatre.
A group of students from the Liceo Augusto will stage a special play adapted from some of the most popular works of Oscar Wilde and Luigi Pirandello: The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Questa sera si recita a soggetto, Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore.
Moreover, the development of the initiative has prompted to a thorough study of Pietro Canonica Museum and the Carlo Bilotti Museum.
The show, thanks to Fabrizio Buompastore’s direction and in collaboration with Grace Event, will revive the idea that combining fine arts and theatre at the museum is desirable, making these places suitable for the representation, therefore the “Museion” as the house of the muses, house of the arts.
All visitors will be given a guided tour to Pietro Canonica’s apartment, upon reservation at (+39) 060608 and payment of the museum ticket (€ 4.50, € 3.00 Reduced – h. 8.00, 8.30 and 9.30 pm – duration: about half an hour).
