On the left of the corridor stands the small room that was Pietro Canonica’s bedroom; this too is rigorously decorated with furniture of the period.
The bed is in baroque style with twisted columnettes and four apples in bronze, while the bookcloset, arm chair en cabriolet and corner cupboard are of Piedmontese manufacture (c.1750). At the sides of the bed are small photographs of the artist’s family. On the far wall a picture showing the Deposition of Christ is displayed, the work of an anonymous master, whose chronological and pictorial identity is still being studied.
